How To Use Online Refresh to Step Over a Capture Issue

This procedure assumes the capture job has stopped because of a capture problem on a specific table.

First target location

For the first target location, do the following:

Open the Refresh dialog.
Select the source and a single target location.
Select the table that needs to be refreshed.
Check the Online Refresh options and set the option to Skip Previous Capture and Integrate. This option is necessary because we are using it to step over the capture problem.
Check the Schedule box and chose a sensible name for the Refresh Task.
Click Schedule.
Suspend capture and integrate jobs.
(Optional) Go on to the Scheduler, select the refresh job that has just been created and chose New Attribute. Create a retry_max attribute and set this to your chosen value. 0 means no retries.
Right-click the refresh job and chose Start to kick off the job.
After the refresh is finished, start the capture and integrate jobs again.

For the second target location, do the following:

Open the Refresh dialog.
Select the source and the second target location.
Select the tables that need to be refreshed.
Check the Online Refresh options and set the option to Skip Previous Integrate. This option is necessary because we assume two or more integrate locations.
Check the Schedule box and chose a sensible name for the Refresh Task.
Click Schedule.
Suspend integrate jobs, but you can leave capture jobs running.
(Optional) Go on to the Scheduler, select the refresh job that has just been created and chose New Attribute. Create a retry_max attribute and set this to your chosen value. 0 means no retries.
Right-click the refresh job and choose Start to kick off the job.
