Azure SQL Managed Instance Requirements
This section describes the requirements, access privileges, and other features of Fivetran Local Data Processing when using Azure SQL Managed Instance for replication.

ODBC Connection
Microsoft ODBC driver must be installed on the machine from which Local Data Processing connects to Azure SQL Managed Instance. For more information about and , refer to .
Local Data Processing uses the SQL Server Native Client ODBC driver to connect, read and write data into Azure SQL Managed Instance during , , and . The connection to the Azure SQL Managed Instance is encrypted by default (Local Data Processing will always add the “ENCRYPT=YES” to connection string for any Azure SQL connection).
