These recommendations are the Best Practices for the vast majority of use cases:

• A smaller warehouse is sufficient unless you are bulk loading a large number of files concurrently (i.e., hundreds or thousands of files).
• A larger warehouse consumes more credits and may not result in any noticeable performance improvement.

Considerations

Syncing less data won't necessarily result in lower Snowflake costs, as there is a minimum billable compute time.
