Duplicate Custom Field Names Warning
Question
While testing the Jira connection, I see the Duplicate custom field names warning.
What does this warning mean? What should I do?
Answer
Duplicate custom field names appears when there is more than one column with the same name. Fivetran reads these columns as duplicates because of our .
For example, Fivetran will read both Actual Result and Actual result as actual_result. As a result, these fields are excluded from the sync.
There are two ways to resolve this issue.
Option 1
- In Jira, rename duplicate fields. For example,
Actual Resultcan stay the same, whileActual resultis renamed toActual Result_1. - In Fivetran, run a historical resync on the connector to back-fill the data for the renamed column.
Option 2
- In Jira, delete duplicate fields you don't need.
- In Fivetran, click Dismiss Warning.
