Iterable Setup Guide

Follow our setup guide to connect Iterable to Fivetran.

Prerequisites

To connect Iterable to Fivetran, you need an Iterable account.

IMPORTANT: Only use an HTTPS URL with TLS version 1.2 or above.

Setup instructions

Find webhook URL

Make a note of the automatically-generated URL at the bottom of your . You will need to register this webhook URL in Iterable.

Generate an API key

1. Log in to the .

2. In the top menu bar, select Integrations -> API keys. This will open the .

3. Click + CREATE NEW API KEY.

   

4. Enter the API key name.

5. Choose Server-side as the API key type to sync all the tables.

   

   NOTE: We do not support the Read-only API key type in connectors created after August 10, 2023. Also, connectors created before August 10, 2023 cannot sync the following tables if you chose Read-only as the key type:

   • EVENT
   • EVENT_EXTENSION
   • USER_HISTORY
   • USER_UNSUBSCRIBED_CHANNEL_HISTORY
   • LIST_USER_HISTORY
   • USER_DEVICE_HISTORY
   • USER_UNSUBSCRIBED_MESSAGE_TYPE_HISTORY

6. Click Create.

7. Make a note of the API key. You will need it to configure Fivetran.

Register webhook URL

1. Return to the main .

2. In the top menu bar, select Integrations -> System webhooks. This will open the .

3. Click + CREATE WEBHOOK. This opens a pop-up window.

   

4. Enter the webhook URL you found in the Endpoint URL field.

   

5. Select No Auth as the Auth Type.

6. Click Create Webhook.

7. Once the webhook is created, scroll to the right and click Edit.

8. Select Enabled, then select all the events that you want to sync.

   

NOTE: If you do not register the webhook URL, Fivetran can't sync the EVENT and EVENT_EXTENSION tables.

Finish Fivetran configuration

1. Enter your chosen destination schema name in the .

2. Enter the API key you generated .

3. Select the Events you want to sync.

4. Click Save & Test. Fivetran will take it from here and sync your Iterable data.
