Google Search Console Setup Guide
Follow our setup guide to connect Google Search Console to Fivetran.
Prerequisites
To connect Google Search Console to Fivetran, you need:
- Google Search Console account set up with you as verified owner of your sites.
- Access to your Google Search Console sites with your role as either
Full UserorOwner.
Setup instructions
In the , enter the Destination schema name of your choice.
Click Authorize to allow Fivetran to access your Google Search Console account.
Select the Sync Mode you want to use.
(Optional) If you select the Sync Specific Sites option, select at least one site from the list.
(Optional) If you need custom reports, click Add custom report and repeat steps 6 - 11 for each report you are adding.
Enter your chosen destination table name. It must be unique within this connector and must comply with .
NOTE: Give the table a name you will find easy to identify with the report in the future. When you want to enable or disable the sync for a particular report once it is set up, you will do so by selecting its table in the connector's schema on Schema tab of the connector details page in your Fivetran dashboard.
Select one of the available report types.
(Optional) If you select the Search Results report type, select one or more search types.
Select one or more dimensions.
NOTE: The
datedimension is required because the reports are synced by day. All reports without thedatedimension are not supported.(Optional) If you select the Search Results report type, select one of the available aggregation types.
Click OK to save the report.
Select how many months' worth of reporting data you'd like to include in your initial sync.
NOTE: The Google Search Console API only returns reporting data for the last 16 months. We cannot sync older data.
Click Save & Test.
Upon successful completion of the setup tests, review your schema. The schema includes your saved reports and prebuilt reports tables.
